Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing administrative support, managing patient interactions, and assisting with various office tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar efficiently.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Interact with medical billers as needed to ensure accurate billing
Utilize phone systems to handle incoming calls, take messages, and direct inquiries appropriately.
Assist with medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Communicate with payroll company for hours
Support the medical office operations by coordinating with medical staff as needed.
Interact with outside medical offices to provide referrals and records as indicated to coordinate patient care
Assist with coordination of emergency radiology appointments for patients as indicated

Skills

Proficiency in medical terminology.
Experience using electronic health record systems.
Computer proficiency
Familiarity with phone systems for effective communication within the office.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is a plus.
Understanding of medical collection processes is beneficial.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.78 - $22.72 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
