Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team (June 2025). The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing perinatal diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality patient care while adhering to safety and aseptic techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, particularly in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn). The Ultrasonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.

Duties

Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to Ob/Gyn procedures.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during the imaging process.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
Analyze images for quality and accuracy, providing preliminary findings to physicians.
Maintain detailed records of examinations and patient interactions.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and results.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques.

Requirements

Proven experience in sonography is preferred (experience in perinatal/MFM is a plus).
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to ultrasound procedures.
Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Understanding of diagnostic radiology principles is an asset.
Certification in ultrasound technology or relevant qualifications is required.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of sonography.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
