Location: Kaye OBGYN Cranford, NJ
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:30 pm.with two night closings and NO WEEKENDS
Monday 8:00-5:30 Tuesday 8:30-5:00 Wednesday 9:00-CLOSE Thursday 9:00-CLOSE Friday 9:00-2:00
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting as needed with walking transfers or dressing.
- Maintaining patient records by accurately recording patient medical history, obtaining, and recording patient vital signs, symptoms, complaints, and medications, etc., and obtaining and scanning any lab or imaging reports, as well as any hospital notes into the EMR in order that the provider may have complete patient information.
- Performing venipuncture and collecting specimens as needed.
- Assisting provider with various procedures and screenings.
- Relaying instructions and pertinent information to patients.
- Completing forms/requisitions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and that claims can be properly billed.
- Adhering to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Evaluate and assess patient’s health care needs based on patient’s signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines.
- Obtain appropriate input and direction from the provider, as needed, to determine best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care.
- Accurately document symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response in EMR. Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as improve health care outcomes of patients/callers and their access to appropriate health.
Qualified candidates will have experience:
- a current IN License as a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing
- a degree from an accredited nursing program
- a current CPR certification
- a minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical facility, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, lab specific order sets, and eClinicalWorks are beneficial.

Pay or shift range:$26 USD to$32 USD
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
