Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
A Radiography Technologist specializing in ultrasound performs high-quality diagnostic imaging to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment. They operate and maintain ultrasound and radiography equipment while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation and infection control standards. The role also involves documenting findings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting emergency or specialized imaging procedures as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound scans across various specialties following clinical protocols.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and radiography equipment with regular quality checks.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety throughout imaging.
- Capture clear, accurate, and high-quality images to support clinical diagnosis.
- Assist radiologists by providing technical observations and supporting complex procedures.
- Document patient history, imaging findings, and technical notes.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical teams for coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement of imaging protocols.
- Support emergency, trauma, and on-call imaging services as required.
Qualifications
- Requires a recognized degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
- Requires 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
- Candidate must have DOH license as Radiography Technologist/Sonographer.
