Our services include engaging prenatal education classes, birth doula support, and postpartum care tailored to the needs of parents and their newborns. We also offer lactation consulting and strive to provide a supportive community for new parents to lean on.
Role Description
This is a contract-based, remote role for a Postpartum Doula. The Postpartum Doula will provide daytime and overnight professional support to families during the postpartum period including newborn care, parental guidance, lactation support, and emotional reassurance. Responsibilities include assisting parents with infant care practices, supporting successful breastfeeding, offering guidance on postpartum recovery, and fostering a nurturing environment for the family. Strong communication and compassion will be crucial in this role.
Qualifications
- Completion of a lactation for doulas course
- Proficiency in newborn care and understanding of the transition to parenthood
- Current first-aid and cpr training
- Strong interpersonal skills to offer emotional support and guidance to new families
- Certification in a recognized doula training program is preferred, or working towards certificatio
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet different family
- Desire to work in a team of compasionate individuals looking to lift eachother up
- Availability for daytime and overnight support anywhere in Calgary, AB
