The Nurse Director, Obstetric Services will lead and elevate a high-performing maternal-child health service line encompassing Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum/Mother-Baby, and Newborn Nursery with collaboration across Level IIIA NICU; provide 24/7 operational oversight, direct daily staffing, scheduling, and acuity-based assignments, round on patients and families to drive exceptional experience, coordinate multidisciplinary care with OB/GYNs, midwives, anesthesia, pediatrics, and neonatology, manage budgets and capital planning, ensure regulatory readiness and compliance (Joint Commission, CMS, state), champion AWHONN and Baby-Friendly practices, standardize evidence-based protocols (maternal hemorrhage, hypertensive disorders, sepsis bundles), lead safety drills (NRP, OB emergencies), review fetal monitoring practices, optimize throughput and bed management, track and act on KPI dashboards (C-section and NTSV rates, HCAHPS, LOS, HAIs, readmissions), investigate events and implement performance improvement, guide EHR documentation standards, hire, onboard, mentor and evaluate nurses/educators/charge leaders to build a resilient, high-engagement team, foster physician relations and service line growth, and oversee patient education, lactation services, and childbirth classes.
What's Needed to Succeed:

Graduate of an approved Nursing program

Licensed as a Registered Nurse RN in the state of North Carolina or ability to obtain
