Katig Solutions is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist on behalf of a leading reproductive health organization in Ontario. In this role, you will perform high-quality ultrasound procedures and play an essential part in patient assessment, diagnostic imaging, and support for fertility-related treatments. You will work closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure every patient receives timely, accurate, and compassionate care. This position reports directly to the Ultrasound Supervisor.
Shifts typically run 6:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., including rotations on weekends and statutory holidays.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative team members
- Arrive on time for shifts, appointments, and meetings
- Maintain accurate, professional documentation
- Uphold patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information
- Follow organizational policies, protocols, and quality standards
Role-Specific Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound studies in accordance with CMRTO, CPSO, SDMS, and AIUM standards
- Conduct full female reproductive assessments, including:
- Endo-vaginal scans
- Follicular monitoring
- Obstetrical scans at all pregnancy stages (early viability, OB/NT scans)
- Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures (e.g., sonohysterograms)
- Review patient notes during monitoring cycles to ensure correct tests are performed
- Document and record findings accurately for medical review
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow strict infection control protocols and contribute to maintaining clean, organized ultrasound rooms
- Identify abnormal findings and promptly escalate to physicians, nurses, or supervisors
- Support accreditation, licensing, and facility audit preparations
- Maintain up-to-date clinical competence through continuous education and training
- Assist with equipment audits and report incidents or safety concerns immediately
- Attend training sessions, conferences, and seminars; share learnings with leadership and colleagues
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completed Ultrasound / Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
- Current registration with CMRTO, ARDMS, and/or Sonography Canada
- Minimum 2 years of experience, including strong transvaginal and obstetrical scanning background
- Skilled in Colour Doppler, sonohysterography, and 3D ultrasound
- Strong interpersonal and patient-communication skills
- Proven punctuality, attendance consistency, and reliability
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, team-based environments
- Proficient with relevant clinical and administrative software
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work weekends and statutory holiday rotations

Compensation
