Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate OB-GYN to join our healthcare team in Roswell, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal, delivery, postpartum, and gynecological services. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes while utilizing advanced medical technologies and adhering to the highest standards of patient care. The OB-GYN will also participate in clinical research, education, and quality improvement initiatives to advance women’s health services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations focused on obstetrics and gynecology.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EHR systems, medical imaging, ultrasound, and other diagnostic tools.
- Manage prenatal care, including monitoring fetal development through ultrasound and other imaging modalities.
- Assist in labor and delivery, providing acute care during childbirth and postpartum recovery.
- Perform gynecological procedures such as Pap smears, biopsies, suturing, and minimally invasive surgeries.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for reproductive health issues, including family planning and menopause management.
- Collaborate with specialists in maternal-fetal medicine, endocrinology, neonatology, and other fields as needed.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, contraception options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records in EMR systems.
- Participate in clinical research trials and contribute to the advancement of women’s health practices.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure as an OB-GYN in New Mexico.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management.
- Knowledge of advanced obstetric procedures including labor & delivery management, ultrasound imaging (including CT), and perioperative care.
- Familiarity with specialized areas such as maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology, or minimally invasive surgery is desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to obstetrics and gynecology along with CPT coding for procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in clinical research or continuing education programs. Pay: $300,000.00 - $550,000.00 per year
