Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role located in Boston, MA. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers in various departments. Responsibilities include performing patient intakes, recording medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, managing scheduling, supporting procedures, and maintaining medical records accurately. The role involves collaborating closely with clinicians and staff to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills, including vital sign collection, administering medications as directed, and assisting in minor medical procedures
- Organizational and administrative skills, such as managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring proper documentation
- Proficiency in patient communication, providing empathetic and clear support to individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Experience in healthcare protocols, infection control, and maintaining a sterile medical environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and familiarity with HIPAA practices
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification required
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain it upon hire
