Job Summary: The Program Officer of the Junaid Family Foundation* (JFF) serves as a member of the Pakistan team and is an active participant driving the daily work of the Foundation. Working closely with the Senior Technical Advisor (STA) and Managing Director (MD), the Program officer oversees a variety of activities that are critical to the smooth operations of the Foundation, especially in Pakistan, including program management, analytic work, report writing, monitoring evaluation, learning, and communications support. The Program Officer eventually reports to the Executive Director of JFF in USA, however, for day to day work, she/he reports to MD of JFF Office Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Management & Coordination
- Assists STA and MD with day-to-day operations of the Foundation’s programming in Pakistan, including communications with local partners, planning, management, and implementation of activities
- Liaises and works with collaborative partners, especially with relevant Ministries/Departments on issues such as policy influence, program scaling, especially of MMS (Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation), including technical and regulatory procedures and practices
- Conducts field visits to monitor progress, document learnings, and identify risks or gaps.
- Coordinates with development agency partners, especially UNICEF and community stakeholders as needed.
- Assists in analysis of program data and contributes to writing drafts of papers and scientific publications
- Contributes to concept notes, project proposals, and strategy documents for JFF’s Pakistan portfolio.
- Scans and monitors the plans and activities of other partners who are working in the areas of JFF core pillars and interested to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support alignment of JFF's work with national development priorities.
- INGO-Standard Reporting & Compliance
- Lead preparation of high-quality narrative reports following INGO/donor formats (e.g., annual, quarterly, midline/endline updates).
- Consolidate field data, partner updates, MEAL information, and financial summaries into clear, accurate reports.
- Track reporting deadlines and ensure all required inputs are submitted on time.
- Maintain organized documentation for audits, due diligence reviews, and compliance checks.
- Communication & Representation
- Prepare briefs, presentations, and talking points for internal and external use.
- Attend and represent JFF at meetings of the Strategic Technical Working Group and other relevant groups as needed on MMS
- Support visibility efforts by contributing to newsletters, social media content, and success stories.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in public health, nutrition or development studies from an accredited institution
- 3-4 years of professional experience either in national health systems, a development agency, INGO or academia/research desirable
- Excellent organizational skills, management, monitoring and evaluation of programs/projects
- Demonstrated record of collaboration with other organizations, preferably with public sector entities and/or development agencies
- Ability to review, understand and synthesize health, development and social sector data and documents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent English writing and communication skills, as related to both internal and external communications
- Demonstrated expertise and/or experience with digital content development and/or social media
- Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace
- Knowledge of regional languages of Pakistan is an asset
- Travel in Pakistan, and potentially globally, will be required
- Prior experience working in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health is a plus
