The Postholder will have duties similar to Specialist Registrar year ST3-ST7 working under the guidance of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant.
The postholder will be covering a variable range of duties in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The Postholder will be a key member of the medical team responsible for the treatment and care of women within our antenatal/postnatal wards, the Delivery Suite, Maternity Assessment Unit, Triage and our inpatient gynaecology ward and Accident and Emergency.

The postholder will be covering a variable range of duties in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The Postholder will be a key member of the medical team responsible for the treatment and care of women within our antenatal/postnatal wards, the Delivery Suite, Maternity Assessment Unit, Triage and our inpatient gynaecology ward, Accident and Emergency.
The postholder will be part of a 2-tier 1 in 8 on call rota. In addition, it is expected that he/she will undertake outpatient clinics and operating lists and other elective activities as scheduled.
It is the responsibility of the post-holder to ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with the current quality initiatives within the area of work.
The post-holder is responsible for data quality and complying with the policies, procedures, and accountability arrangements throughout the Trust for maintaining accuracy and probity in the recording of the Trust’s activities.
The post-holder will be responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the administration of the department as appropriate at ST1/2 level..
Travel as necessary between hospitals/clinics will be required but a planned and cost-effective approach will be expected.
Any other duties that may be required from time to time.
