Farndale Ward at Harrogate Hospital is a busy 23 bedded Acute Medical Unit. By the end of 2025 we will be moving to a bigger area and increasing our beds as well as having a new Medically Enhanced Care Unit.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to develop our skills, and grow our workforce in preparation for this move.
If you are a registered nurse who enjoys a challenge and thrives in an environment in which you are always learning and growing as a nurse then we want to hear from you.
As a registered nurse on Farndale ward, you would be supported by the senior team to manage your own case load of patients, admitted from the GP, the Emergency Department, through the Acute Referral Line and from other places within the trust.
On Farndale we care for patients who are reviewed by a consultant, given a treatment plan and discharged, kept in a short stay bed or admitted to a longer stay specialty bed.
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT) cares for the population in Harrogate and the local area, as well as across North Yorkshire, Leeds and parts of the North East.
At HDFT we provide outstanding care to both our patients and our staff and we value Kindness, Integrity, Teamwork and Equality. If you’re looking for an interesting and rewarding career in the NHS, where you can make a real difference to patients’ lives, HDFT could be the place for you!
