Job Description:
Title- Scheduling Generalist
Reports to- Scheduling Supervisor
Position Role:
The Scheduling Generalist’s primary responsibility is to provide support to the Scheduler SMEs through answering excess calls that ring through all scheduling queues. This position plays a vital role in our ability to meet industry standard KPIs and maintain high levels of patient satisfaction by reducing wait times on the phone. This position answers patient calls, schedules appropriate time slots based on the appointment type and requires detailed knowledge of scheduling guidelines for all providers. The Scheduling Generalist may also be called upon to assist in other areas that would utilize their specific skill set when needed. It is a fast-paced environment that requires teamwork of others, the ability to synthesize information from multiple people, and the ability to schedule accurately based upon all available information. A high level of customer service, attention to detail, and efficiency is required.
Office Operation
· Answers patient scheduling calls and presents a professional environment to the patient over the phone
· Maintains exemplary customer service through accurate scheduling and welcoming tone
· Schedule patient appointments and procedures
· Enter appointment and patient information into EMR
· Manage appointment no-shows, reschedules, and cancellations
· Contact patients when referrals are received from outside offices to facilitate appropriate follow-up
· Maintains a clean workspace, including in shared areas such as the breakroom and conference room
· Provides coverage as a float to check out and phone operators when needed
· Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions
· Position requires work in normal office environment 100% of the time. Exposure to bio-hazardous materials and medical chemical is minimal.
Qualifications:
Must have strong computers skills. Must have the ability to create a patient-friendly environment that displays professionalism, compassion, and caring. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A MEDICAL OFFICE STRONGLY PREFERRED

Salary: starting at $17.54/hr and top out for this job at $24.56/hr. Upper end of range reserved for candidates with extensive experience or longevity with OB/GYN Associates.
