Job Summary
The Breast Admin Coordinator will work closely with the breast imaging team, handling administrative tasks such as managing notification letters, following up on patient notifications, and obtaining medical records for mammograms and exams performed outside our Sanitas facilities. They always model exemplary compassion and excellent customer service to all patients, understanding they are dealing with the lives of patients who are ill. The coordinator’s successful performance is directly linked to the overall success of the entire breast imaging team, customer service performance levels, and improvement of overall patient experience
Essential Job Functions

Managing the notification letter process for all mammograms and ultrasounds performed at our Sanitas facilities.

Facilitating the report process to ensure patients are notified about their results.

Collaborating with the team to maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, consent forms, and other relevant documents.

Managing and organizing patient data in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations, such as HIPAA.

Ensuring the efficient flow of patients within the breast imaging department to minimize wait times.

Collaborating with imaging technologists and breast coordinators to maintain the quality of breast imaging exams.

Staying updated on the latest guidelines, regulations, and best practices related to breast imaging, such as those from the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Ensuring the breast imaging department adheres to all applicable laws and standards for safety and quality.

Required Education

High school diploma required.
Required Experience
-
Minimum of 1 year experience in outpatient diagnostic imaging facility or hospital required.
Required Licenses and Certifications

Knowledge of breast imaging procedures and equipment.

Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is highly preferred.

Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of eClinicalWorks and MedHost is preferred.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of PACS is preferred.
