Your role at St John of God Ballarat
We are seeking applications for a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwives to join our Gynaecology & Special Care Nursery Ward. You will take time with their patients and their families supporting them through every step of their journey to being a parent.
Our nurses provide all aspects of care in gynaecology, special care nursery and postnatal care of mother and babies in our antenatal clinics and services, on our maternity wards and in birth suites, in addition to care for our babies in our special care nurseries.
Our Ward comprises of 21 beds across a mix of Maternity and Gynaecological cases. We experience approximately 500 births a year and we are equipped with, 3 birth suites and a Special Care Nursery that cares for premature and unwell infants to 32 weeks gestation.
The Position
Interview and examine the patient, documenting the assessment findings.
Whilst promoting an environment of confidence, confidentiality and respect, identify through discussion with the patient, family and relevant others, actual and potential problems.
Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient and family during and following hospitalisation.
Routinely monitor the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations.
Assist in the assessing of complicated nursing problems guiding Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nursing Students as needed.
Document the planned nursing care and ensure the care plan remains current.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and /or Midwife, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

We can offer you
Salary: $81,995 to $103,482 plus 12% Superannuation
