Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient health assessments to inform care strategies.
- Keep emergency equipment readily available at the bedside, including spare tracheostomy tubes, obturators, suction machines, oxygen sources, and ambu bags.
- Monitor for signs of infection, skin breakdown, or granulation tissue at the stoma site and assess for tube obstruction or displacement.
- Administer prescribed medications via oral, injectable, or PEG-tube routes and monitor for adverse effects and interactions.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and pressure sore management as needed.
- Conduct routine vital signs monitoring—including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose—and promptly report abnormalities.
- Deliver enteral feeding via PEG or NG tubes and monitor nutritional and hydration status.
Requirements
Requirements:- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSC Nursing) or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in home care, critical care, or medical-surgical nursing.
- Must be currently registered with the Department of Health (DOH) in Abu Dhabi or the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
- Proven competency in airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and emergency response.
- Experience with PEG/NG tube feeding, wound care, and medication administration.
- Strong documentation and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
