The Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Program Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and performing administrative services and overseeing the academic operations of the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Genetics (MFM) within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Reproductive Sciences. Maternal Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Genetics is one of the largest divisions within Ob/Gyn & RS, consisting of over 54 faculty/midwives, 5 per-diem providers, 9 ACGME fellows, and 8 clinic locations in the Bay Area, and additional clinical presence outside the Bay Area. With their expertise in analytical practices, policies, and procedures, the incumbent will manage complex time-sensitive projects on behalf of the Division Chief, Directors, and other leadership team members. This position will serve as the primary liaison to faculty, staff, and external organizations, providing executive level support in the absence of key personnel. This position requires a high-level individual with excellent judgment who is capable of independently carrying out duties to completion with minimal guidance and supervision. Additionally, the incumbent will produce the annual division report to document division activities and support decision-making.
In this role, the incumbent will have diverse responsibilities including functioning as the lead coordinator for the MFM Faculty Mentoring and Near-Peer Mentoring Programs, collaborating with Program Directors of the MFM fellowship programs, coordinating academic operations, developing and managing the Division's website, provide backup administrative support coverage to the MFM Division Chief, and as serve as the point person on special and ongoing projects. This position will also interface with the Department finance team to track budget and expenses and provide backup support to other division analyst/program coordinator team members as needed. Additionally, this position will serve as a leadership support role for the Director of Midwifery Services and other faculty as requested. The Program Coordinator will manage the end-to-end logistical operations of both interdepartmental and UCSF wide meetings and will take the lead in serving as the main point of contact to all participants, triage and troubleshooting both low to escalated inquiries/issues to ensure attendees and facilitators have smooth and productive experience.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with diplomacy and tact, are essential in this role as this individual will have an active part in attending meetings, representing on behalf of leadership as directed, synthesizing meeting data and materials, and creating project timeline deliverables to ensure divisional projects are developed, implemented, and launched by the set deadlines. The ability to triage and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, work independently with minimal supervision, stay current with technological applications, and maintain meticulous attention to detail are also key aspects of this role. Flexibility, pragmatic problem-solving skills, and a team player mindset will contribute to their success in supporting a diverse team. This position may also require performing other duties as assigned, providing backup support as needed.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $78,900 - $167,300 (Annual Rate).
