- Track/submit attendance and grades.
- Assist strategic planning/assessment for program quality.
- Orient new faculty in theory/clinical.
- Apply adult learner teaching principles.
- Improve instruction quality continuously.
- Acquire skills for online teaching enhancements.
- Maintain student records: attendance, skills, data.
- Submit reports/forms to Director timely.
- Stay current on tech/safety regs.
- Join committees supporting nursing program.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Plan/supervise clinical experiences.
- Evaluate student clinical performance per policies.
- Give immediate feedback post-observation.
- Maintain clinical records; assist data collection.
- Ensure clinical assignments fit student/facility needs.
- Determine best observation/instruction/evaluation methods.
- Verify clinical sites meet health/safety standards.
- Provide student access via office hours/email/etc.
- Participate in student advising.
Qualifications
- No teaching experience required; Faculty Development training provided.
- Valid, active RN license from State Board.
- MSN or higher from accredited school (nursing/education/admin); coursework in OB, Peds, or Psych.
- 4+ years RN direct patient care.
- 1+ year clinical experience in last 5 years (teaching counts); per CCR 1420(c).
- Expertise in Pediatrics or OB-Gyn.
