Registered Nurse Highlights
- The pay for this position is $40.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST)
- Hybrid position – in office twice a week once independently working and meeting metrics
- This position is full-time with potential to convert to a permanent role
Responsibilities
- Counsel and educate new and existing patients on specialty drug therapies, including REMS FDA-mandated medications.
- For specific therapies under the REMS program, read a list of statements to the patient verbatim per FDA requirements.
- Ensure patients and caregivers are educated on therapy adherence, schedule medication refill deliveries, and collect copays as needed.
- Maintain compliance with contracted and accrediting regulations as outlined by each drug’s specifications.
- Complete accurate and detailed documentation in accordance with industry standards, good documentation practices, and regulatory guidelines.
- Discuss potential or current side effects with patients, educate on treatment alternatives, and support continued adherence.
- Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to the manufacturer, FDA, or other governing authorities.
- Verify specialty drug prescriptions, educate patients, and act as a liaison between providers and patients to promote therapeutic success.
- Follow patient management programs through scheduled outreach, medication management programming, counseling, and collaboration with providers.
- Maintain and update patient demographic information, medical history, and records in compliance with federal HIPAA standards.
- Partner with Pharmacy Support teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of specialty medications.
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or Texas, in good standing.
- Must have at least 2 years of direct patient experience.
- Must live within one hour of either:
– Cary, NC 27513
– Fort Worth, TX 76177
- Must enjoy phone-based work (8 hours per day) and repetitive tasks, such as reading FDA statements multiple times daily.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently and meeting performance metrics.
