The Antenatal Clinic is pleased to announce a brilliant development opportunity to join the team as a Band 7 Antenatal Clinic Lead at Wexham Park Hospital. This role is 9.5 hours a week, for a fixed term of 12 months.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering and maintaining a high-quality, woman-centred antenatal clinic service tailored specifically for our maternity patients. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a registered midwife, will act as an autonomous, accountable practitioner working on their own initiative and in collaboration with the Midwifery Matron and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
The ANC Lead Midwife will oversee the day-to-day running of the Antenatal Clinic and will help the Trust to move forward with the Better Births and Ockenden report recommendations as well as NICE Guidance and updates from the RCOG. The role will involve some informal sickness management, overseeing work distribution with the team, as well as monitoring the development and training needs of midwives and their general well-being. Close liaison with the medical staff is essential for this post.
