Do you want to lead the technical development in a healthtech startup that is about to transform healthcare communication & collaboration - making it more holistic, cross-functional, preventive and patient-centered? Then come build Moorula.
About
Moorula is a startup developing a secure, AI-powered health management, collaboration & patient planning platform that enables complex patients and their caregivers to collaborate and communicate better, improve the patient experience, shorten diagnosis times and offer holistic & more precise care. Healthcare staff will ultimately experience a better working environment with less admin and patients will become active co-creators instead of passive receivers of care. The first target group is IVF.
The problems
Healthcare systems face critical challenges: They are built for acute care and single diseases, but 50 million people in the EU live with multiple chronic conditions. Costs increase 16x when treating four conditions vs. one. Fragmented care (data not being shared between systems) for complex patients leads to delayed diagnoses - women's health particularly suffers, with an average of 8 years for an endometriosis diagnosis and 10-30 years for lipedema.
The lack of a holistic overview of the patient and the culture of not including the patient’s own data leads to poor treatment outcomes. Healthcare providers don't communicate and collaborate effectively, leading to patients repeating information and redoing examinations. And, since healthcare is organized by geography, patients struggle to find the right specialists for their specific cases, making coordination difficult. All of these problems sum up to a system that must be challenged, and that is what we are doing.
The idea
The idea for Moorula came from my personal experiences as a patient during IVF-treatment where health care professionals never talked to each other or collaborated around me, so I had to take on the project manager role myself, leading to poor results and treatment complications due to lack of collaboration and consideration of my own health data. It left me feeling very lonely and left out of the process. I even set up my own project management planning tool for this, and tried to manage the process and collaborate with my team, but it was not possible since healthcare staff can't handle health data in other systems than the journal.
The vision
Envisioning a future where all complex patients own their health data, can share it securely, receive holistic care tailored to their unique needs, and actively participate as co-creators in their health journey. Moorula will transform healthcare delivery from fragmented to collaborative, from reactive to preventive, and from standardized to personalized.

Your profile
Since building a startup together is quite a journey, the main three things we are looking for are (...with a pinch of humor of course, excuse the language):

- Someone who figures shit out
- Someone to rely on when shit hits the fan
It’s important that you have the ability to not accept the current state as is, but rather challenge it and take initiatives for change
Your competence
- Solid experience building software platforms, preferably in healthtech or other regulated industry, such as fintech
- Broad background in tech given that you will code, do ops, integrations etc. Probably having experience as a software engineer, full-stack or hands-on tech lead

- Entrepreneurial mindset
Not ticking every box? No worries. We value personality, potential and drive - so apply anyway.
Offering
- The opportunity to join from the start in an exciting startup with global healthcare impact potential
- Sweat equity-based role (paid with equity, with salary upon sufficient funding), so you should have some personal runway for a while. Investor dialogues are ongoing, which you will be a part of
- Flexibility: The location is preferably Linköping (Sweden), but a hybrid setting is also possible, including regular presence in Linköping. Have small kids? No worries, the founder has a 2-year-old herself, so this workplace is family-friendly
- A warm and ambitious culture that values empathy, curiosity, drive, kindness, vulnerability, learning from mistakes, and having fun together. You will join a founder who believes it’s important to create a work environment where wellbeing comes first - asking "how are you doing?” (wellbeing) before ”how is it going? (with work). Feeling well is a foundation for doing your life’s greatest work, here at Moorula.
Ideally, you are available for trial work a couple of hours per week from mid/late November to determine if we are a good fit. And then be available for full-time work within two months.
