The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
- assist in conducting literature reviews and organizing reference materials
- help draft and compile documents for the Ethics Review Committee (ERC) application
- assist in the development and pretesting of qualitative interview guides and tools
- organize field logistics, including scheduling interviews, travel coordination, and liaising with local stakeholders
- provide administrative support related to research activities as needed
- ensure compliance with research ethics, data protection, and project protocols
Requirements
You should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, development studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- familiarity with research ethics and qualitative data management
- proficiency in MS Office and qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas) is an advantage
- at least 1 year of experience in supporting research projects, preferably qualitative research
- familiarity with research ethics and qualitative data management.
