Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant located in East Setauket, NY. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing patient care, handling medical records, and utilizing medical terminology in a medical office setting. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in patient examinations, updating patient information, preparing medical instruments, and supporting the healthcare team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in Medical Assisting and Patient Care
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and handling Medical Records
- Proficiency in working in a Medical Office environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification is required
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Experience in OBGYN/Womens Pelvic Health is a plus
