About the Opportunity
A healthcare provider operating in the private tertiary women’s health and maternity services sector in India. We deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynaecologic care—ranging from routine antenatal services to emergency obstetric interventions—within a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
We are hiring an on-site Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to lead clinical care, surgical services, and mentor junior clinicians in a high-volume hospital setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynaecologic care, including antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal management.
- Perform elective and emergency operative procedures such as caesarean sections and essential gynaecologic surgeries with adherence to perioperative protocols.
- Manage high-risk pregnancies and coordinate multi-disciplinary care with neonatology, anaesthesia and critical care teams.
- Lead labour ward activities: supervise deliveries, interpret fetal monitoring, and respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nursing staff and trainees; contribute to clinical audits, case reviews and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensure guideline-based clinical documentation, and support departmental protocols for patient safety and infection control.

Essential Qualifications
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification.
- Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or respective State Medical Council.
- Proven clinical experience as a consultant in a tertiary or high-volume maternity hospital; demonstrable experience managing obstetric emergencies and operative deliveries.
