Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:
Skill Sets: fetal monitoring or cardiac monitoring, Circulating experience required
Fetal monitoring experience needed but certification isn’t necessary
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Recent OB, ED or critical care experience (preferred)
Scrub experience preferred, L&D higher acuity strongly preferred
Preferred Credentials: Care of the Extremely Low Birth Weight Neonate Certification - National Certification Corporation (preferred)
Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Population: deliveries (vaginal/c-section), version, cerclages.
Equipment Used on Unit: Equipment: warmer, GE monitor, pulse ox, blood glucose
Unit/Facility Details:
11 Labor Rooms, 2 OBs, 2 OR’s, 3 OB ED (Triage), 12 Antepartum/Women’s OBGYN unit
Ratio: 1:1 during active labor, 1:3 for antepartum
Ratios are never guaranteed but what the unit attempts to achieve with normal staffing. Ratios are subject to change based on staffing.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend/major holiday, On call 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks
Floating Requirements: Floating within Women’s Health likely
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 2 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
