We are seeking two casual Maternal and Child Health Nurses to join our team.
In this role you will:
- Be responsible for providing a high-quality, family-centred MCH service that promotes the health and wellbeing of families with children 0 - 5 years in the municipality.
- Work in a team to solve problems and achieve outcomes in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Attend Team meetings and planned professional development.
- Access Transition to Practice support and mentoring for new staff
- Be a team player with a strong customer service focus.
- Be able to work autonomously to provide an MCH service with support from the team and your MCH coordinator.
To be successful in this role you will hold AHPRA registration in General Nursing and Midwifery as well as tertiary qualification in Maternal & Child Health.
You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, copies of your qualifications, a current Driver’s Licence & Employee Working with Children Check.
You must be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration as well as undertake a National Police Record Check.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of current issues in child health, development and wellbeing.
- The ability to provide evidence-based guidance and advice, support and education on a wide variety of health, parenting and family issues.
- The ability to assess and support the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional health of children and the family unit in line with the MCH service practice guidelines.
- Demonstrated awareness of state policy directions relevant to MCH practice.
- Experience working in Enhanced MCH will be highly regarded
