Job Description: Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) / Kinesiologist
Position: Pelvic Floor PTA or Kinesiologist
Schedule: Must have availability on evenings and Sundays

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Pelvic Floor PTA or Kinesiologist to join our pelvic health team. The successful candidate does not need to arrive with extensive pelvic health experience but must bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a strong willingness to learn under the mentorship of a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist with 20+ years of experience.Clinical Responsibilities
- Educate clients on pelvic floor dysfunction, pain science, and behavioral strategies for bladder and bowel conditions.
- Assist with and learn non-internal biofeedback interventions, progressions, and documentation.
- Support and eventually perform electrical stimulation interventions and Laser.
- Conduct subjective assessments and outcome measures to help track patient progress.
- Teach and progress patients in external pelvic floor, core, and lower/upper extremity exercise programs
- Provide education and reinforcement of home exercise programs (HEP).
- Guide safe use of vaginal weights, wands, or exercisers (non-internal).
- Support pessary program tasks: assisting during fittings, pessary cleaning, ordering, and inventory management.
- Perform soft tissue release techniques for abdominal, and surrounding regions (as trained).
- Deliver and facilitate pregnancy-focused exercises, including partner/couples-based programs to support preparation for labor and recovery.
Administrative & Communication Responsibilities
- Manage drop-off client lists and ensure timely patient follow-ups.
- Communicate with clients via EMBODIA (exercise reminders, updates, and education).
- Assist with preparation of Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) reports and doctor’s letters.
- Provide scheduling support: booking, rebooking, reminder calls/texts, and evening/weekend coverage.
- Maintain supply inventory (pessaries, electrodes, exercise tools, disposables) and treatment room readiness.
Additional Supportive Tasks
- Chart prep: organize patient files, outcome measures, and documentation.
- Patient follow-up calls/emails: encourage adherence and check progress.
- Technology support: assist patients with setting up and using EMBODIA or exercise tools at home.
- Marketing/workshop support: assist with educational events, prenatal classes, and clinic outreach.
- General clinic flow support: ensure the physiotherapist can focus on direct care while the clinic runs smoothly.
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Registered Kinesiologist.
- Strong interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation, perinatal care, and exercise therapy (training provided).
- Comfortable teaching and progressing exercises, educating patients, and supporting couples’ sessions.
- Open to learning biofeedback, electrical stimulation, pessary support, and soft tissue techniques.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Must be available for evenings and Sundays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
