Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare, preferably women's health. This role involves providing essential support to healthcare professionals and ensuring high-quality patient care. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing clinical tasks, answering phones, assisting with patient intake, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
Perform vital signs assessments and document patient information accurately
Conduct intake interviews to gather medical history and current health concerns
Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses
Utilize EHR (Athena) systems for documentation and management of patient records
Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Ensure compliance with medical terminology, ICD coding, and basic life support protocols
Support outpatien care
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment

Requirements

Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Experience in women's health or primary care is preferred
Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation practices
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care quality
Ability to work effectively in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including OR experience if applicable
Previous hospital experience or clinic experience is highly desirable
Understanding of geriatrics, PICU, medical-surgical practices is beneficial
