Overview:
At Catholic Health, our primary focus is the way we treat and serve our communities. We work collaboratively to provide compassionate care and utilize evidence-based practice to improve outcomes – to every patient, every time.
St. Charles Hospital's Labor and Delivery Unit welcomes more than 1,500 new lives each year. We are proud to offer care that is technologically-advanced, yet highly personalized. Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit offers quality care for high-risk babies, such as premature babies born at 32 weeks or later and babies born with low birth weight. In addition, St. Charles specializes in "couplet care," which stands apart from standard maternity nursing care.
St. Charles Hospital also hosts 20 hospital beds that are dedicated solely to adult inpatient medically supervised detoxification and also offers medically supervised detoxification for adolescents. St. Charles is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Drug rehab and alcohol rehab are offered through St. Charles Hospital's Chemical Dependency Rehabilitation program. The program is for adults age 18 and over, is voluntary, and is designed to promote recovery. At St. Charles, we believe that that recovery begins with the desire to change and that individuals who want to change can achieve success with support. Our experts are highly skilled in all aspects of recovery from addiction to drugs or alcohol and provide patients with the tools they need to stay substance-free, develop a new self-image, cope with life's difficulties and make positive and lasting change in their lives.
