Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our gynaecology team looking after gynaecological and surgical patients on Ward A3 GUH, Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and on the Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit. This will provide an excellent foundation in this speciality for the interested individuals either at the beginning of their career journey or someone looking for career development.
The successful applicant needs to have an interest in women's health, have excellent communication skills and work well within a multidisciplinary team.
The ward aims to provide a high standard of care and are committed to continual service improvement within the specialty. The ward is a 22 bedded ward and care is provided to patients receiving gynaecological and female surgery.
Some experience of working within a gynaecology setting would be an advantage, though this is not essential as full training and support will be provided.
Main duties of the job

The Service includes working with Gynaecology and Surgical patients on a 22 bed ward. There is an early pregnancy assessment unit attached to the ward and also an emergency Gynaecology assessment unit that facilitates all emergency admissions. This post will provide an opportunity for a registered nurse to develop skills and knowledge in the 3 areas.
Some experience of working within a gynaecology setting would be an advantage, though this is not essential as full training and support will be provided.
The Registered nurse will be provided with support to be a confident and competent practitioner who practices within the sphere of NMC and Trust guidelines.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
