**Full-time 13 week Contract position available**
Lincoln Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Obstetrics department in a full-time 13 week contract position.
The basic purpose of this position is to manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and health system policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
- Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/significant other in order to address all identified needs.
- Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement obstetrical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures, teaching of and communication with patient and support person(s).
- Evaluate the identified problems, care provided, and patient's responses are reassessed to meet patient and family needs and assure overall quality of care delivered.
- Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to endure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.
- Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the birthing unit/parent/child division as defined in the scope of service, to endure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.
Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse (RN) Position Details:
- Full-time
- Rotating Weekends
- Sunday - Saturday
- 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications and Skills:
- State of Tennessee licensure (or eligible) as a Registered Nurse
- ACLS required
- Previous experience in labor and delivery preferred
