Job Overview
As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during one of the most pivotal moments in their lives. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires strong clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assessing for any signs of complications.
- Assist with childbirth, including coaching, positioning, and administering medications as needed.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and positive birth experiences.
- Educate and support expectant mothers and their families throughout the birthing process.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NRP certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in labor and delivery required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
