Barts Health NHS Trust Consultant Urological Surgeon(Stone)(10 PAs) Whipps Cross Hospital
Applicants are invited to apply for a Consultant Urological Surgeon post based on the Whipps Cross Site of Barts Health.
We are looking for a full-time (10PA) Consultant Urological Surgeon with an interest in stones, to help with the overall workload of the Urology Department and to support the Stone Service as well as core Urology work in the department. Key duties will be running and supervising operating lists, specialist Stone Clinics and Core / General clinics, on call cover and ward rounds. You will also be caring for patients on wards in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including junior doctors, ward nurses and specialist nursing teams.

Essential
- MB BS, or equivalent
- FRCS (Urol) or equivalent
- CCST (or within 6 months of date of interview)
Desirable
- Additional qualification / Higher degree, e.g. BSc / MD / PhD
Knowledge

- Widespread broad based knowledge of all aspects of Urological surgery
Training Expected
Essential
- Higher Specialist Training in Urological surgery.
- Experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates
- Experience in general urology
- Experience in Emergency Urology
- Experience in General Urology & Specialist Stone Surgery
Desirable
- Post - CCT Fellowship training in Stone Surgery / Endourology (able to provide access for PCNLs)

- Able to provide evidence of clinical audit and demonstrate understanding of impact and challenges this brings.
