An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Obstetrics and Gynaecology Sonographer to join a dedicated imaging team in Amersham. This role is ideal for an experienced and highly skilled sonographer looking to contribute to the delivery of high-quality ultrasound services in a supportive and well-equipped environment. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time hours available.
What will your responsibilities be:
The postholder will be responsible for performing a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound examinations, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic reporting. Duties include working closely with consultants and midwives to support antenatal care pathways, identifying abnormalities, and providing clear communication to patients and clinical teams. The role requires maintaining high standards of clinical practice and contributing to service development and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound
- HCPC or relevant professional registration
- Extensive experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting a range of scans including early pregnancy, anomaly, and growth scans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development
