Your impact
- Deliver a personalized, inclusive and elevated care experience in a collaborative and a multidisciplinary environment
- Find new opportunities and efficiencies for our clinic and patient operations through time management, prioritization and critical thinking
Your responsibilities
- Safely collect blood samples (venipuncture) for all Twig patients
- Prepare samples for shipment to outside laboratories
- Assist with new patient appointments (height, weight, vitals)
- Assist with cleaning and restocking throughout the clinic as needed
- Reprocessing (cleaning, disinfection and sterilization) of all medical and surgical equipment
- Perform daily cleaning of sterile core, recovery and procedure rooms
- Managing supplies of clinical equipment and consumables
- Be the clinic’s Health and Safety Representative
Your experience
- Grade 12 graduate or equivalent
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Assistant with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science, required
- Current certification from a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing course and current MDRD experience, preferred
- Experience with phlebotomy
- Experience with surgical instrumentation and sterilization equipment
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Experience, willingness and comfort with providing care to LGBT2SQ individuals and couples
- BLS Certification (preferred)
Your schedule
- Full time
- Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM
- Weekend rotation (Saturday and Sunday 7:00AM-3:00PM) and holidays as needed
