Role Summary
The IVF Consultant will be responsible for leading and providing specialized clinical care in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The role involves offering expert consultation, performing advanced reproductive procedures, and ensuring high standards of patient care within the IVF unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and clinical evaluation for couples and individuals experiencing infertility.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans including ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, ICSI, egg freezing, donor programs, and other ART procedures.
- Perform and oversee IVF-related procedures such as egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and fertility-preserving surgeries.
- Supervise and collaborate with embryologists, nurses, counselors, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Ensure compliance with international best practices and local regulatory guidelines in reproductive medicine.
- Participate in patient counseling regarding treatment options, success rates, risks, and ethical considerations.
- Review and monitor patient progress, adjust treatment protocols, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audits, research, and continuous improvement initiatives in the IVF unit.
- Provide training and mentorship for junior doctors, nurses, and medical staff.
- Stay updated with advancements in reproductive endocrinology and infertility treatments.
