The Clinical Educator is responsible for leading educational programs to help improve the quality, safety and patient experience of the care delivered in their assigned region. They will demonstrate leadership through role modeling, mentoring, and utilizing research principles to facilitate and promote evidence- based practice. This position supports clinical staff for the advancement of clinical practice and professional development. The Clinical Educator will lead all educational programs and services including orientation, competency, in-services, continuing education, career development and role transition. In addition, the Clinical Educator monitors quality assurance by conducting site and clinical documentation audits. The Clinical Educator will provide onsite support for new hires and work in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisors/ Leads in the training and remediation of clinical support staff. This position requires frequent travel to units within the assigned region, as well as travel to other regions periodically as required by various projects including the Women’s Care annual Summit.
- Assist in the facilitation of New Hire Orientation, Patient Experience Training, certification classes and/or tests such as BLS, Medical Assistant Certification and Competency Assessment Training.

Complete and maintain certification as American Heart Association BLS instructor.

Provide input to the design and implementation of educational curriculums to achieve the strategic plans of the organization.

Help clinical staff retention by building confidence through skills validation, remediation and coordination of on-site support when needed.

Provide ad hoc education based on the reviews, site needs, and/or new programs/services being implemented.

Assess clinical workflows, identify gaps or areas to improve quality and mitigate risk.

Collaborate with clinical and office leadership to identify areas for improvement related to patient care practices and clinical support services.

In partnership with the EHR Administration, conduct clinical documentation audits and track trends to identify areas of improvement.

Participate in the development, implementation and review of policies and procedures for clinical staff.

Perform yearly clinical practice audits for assigned regional units, provide feedback and assist with the development of action plans to help improve clinical practice.

Support IT Systems Educators on various projects as needed.

Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Must have an active, valid, and unencumbered RN license in the state you are working.

Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.

Must have 2 years education experience in the healthcare industry; OBGYN experience preferred.

Competency in utilizing computer programs for developing instructional materials, tracking related data, and communicating information.

Excellent communicator with ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers and clients.

Must possess the ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively (both written and oral) with all levels of internal personnel, providers, personnel of outside organizations, contractors, etc.
- Must possess good organizational skills, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and be able to work independently and effectively with all levels of groups in a fast-paced, high volume work environment.

Certified American Heart Association BLS Instructor preferred.

EHR and practice management electronic health record training experience; eClinical Works preferred.

Experience with facilitating formal education and training to large groups in person and virtually is preferred.
