Overview:
This position is with the Defense Health Agency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Named after Medal of Honor recipient, PFC Bryant H. Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Bragg, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks.
Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year-round. Responsibilities:
As a Nurse (Clinical/Obstetrics/Gynecology) you will:

Perform professional nursing duties in the care of ambulatory obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) patients including those with normal and complicated pregnancies as well as gynecological problems.

Act as relief nurse, triage and screen walk-in patients to assess the severity of the patient's condition and the need for provider intervention.

Incumbent will be responsible for educating patients for high risk, painful or stressful procedures with education and support.

Prepare and administer oral, subcutaneous, intra-muscular and intravenous medications.

Direct, assist and/or carry out specialized procedures including Non-Stress Test (NST), Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI), and other prenatal diagnostic testing.

Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nursing personnel and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of healthcare for the patient.
Qualifications:
US Citizenship required
Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Possession of a diploma, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program and at least one full year of professional nursing experience as an Registered Nurse.
