The ideal candidate will assist in the full spectrum of surgical and clinical care, including reconstructive, cosmetic, and trauma-related procedures. Key Responsibilities:
· Assist plastic surgeons in the operating room, including first-assist duties for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures
· Perform pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and management
· Conduct independent outpatient clinics for follow-up visits, dressing changes, wound care, and minor procedures
· Document and maintain accurate and timely patient records in the EMR
· Participate in rounding on inpatients, including consults and ongoing care
· Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team
· Provide education and support to patients regarding procedures, recovery, and treatment plans
· Participate in quality improvement and educational initiatives within the department

Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
· Current PA license in the State of Illinois (or eligibility)
· Board Certification by the NCCPA
· Minimum 1-2 years of surgical experience preferred, ideally in plastic surgery, general surgery, or a related field
· BLS and ACLS certification required
· Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
