Job Description
Job Summary:
ISDR is seeking qualified and motivated Midwifes in all provinces of Afghansitan to support the implementation of a women’s health initiative focused on expanding access to essential health services. The selected candidate will play a central role in clinical service delivery, awareness activities, coordination with health facilities, and client support. This role blends professional midwifery expertise with outreach, capacity-building, and partner engagement.
Job Requirements
- Deliver essential clinical services in line with medical standards and organizational protocols.
- Conduct educational sessions for clients, families, and communities to promote informed health decisions.
- Facilitate and deliver training workshops for medical staff and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide individualized guidance to clients on suitable health options, ensuring respectful and informed care.
- Support formal partnerships with hospitals/clinics through MoUs and ensure effective collaboration.
- Monitor service delivery, including regular follow-ups on facility performance and supply usage.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and monthly reporting to supervisors.
- Ensure quality assurance by tracking compliance with protocols and collecting feedback for improvement.
- Offer additional maternal and women’s health services and coordinate client referrals as needed.
- Other duties assigned by the line manager.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Midwife degree from a well-recognized university/Institute.
- Experience: At least 1 years relevant experience, preferably in the health sector.
- Skills:
- familirity with Project and program management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Personal and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a challenging environment.
- Diplomas or certifications in administration or project and program management will be a plus point.
