Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is in growth mode and looking for Registered Nurses that are passionate about serving our community! Currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join out OBGYN office. This is a Full time position!
· Care Coordination
- Serve as a central point of contact for patients navigating women’s health services, including OB/GYN, mammography, fertility, menopause, and other gender-specific health needs.
- Coordinate appointments, follow-up care, specialist referrals, and diagnostic testing.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other care team members to ensure continuity of care.
· Patient Education & Advocacy
- Provide health education and counseling on topics such as contraception, pregnancy, cancer screening, sexual health, and menopause.
- Advocate for patient needs, cultural sensitivities, and health literacy considerations.
· Clinical Support
- Assist with in-office procedures, examinations, and screenings (e.g., Pap smears, breast exams).
- Perform nursing assessments, obtain vital signs, and review patient histories.
- Monitor and follow up on lab/imaging results and escalate concerns to the provider team.
· Care Planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for patients with chronic conditions or complex needs (e.g., PCOS, endometriosis, breast cancer).
- Participate in multidisciplinary care meetings when applicable.
· Patient Navigation
- Help patients overcome barriers to care, including transportation, insurance issues, or health system complexities.
- Support patients through sensitive diagnoses and transitions (e.g., prenatal to postpartum, pre- to post-surgical).
· Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and women’s health-specific regulatory requirements.
· Program Development & Outreach
- Assist in developing women’s health education programs, support groups, and outreach initiatives.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and data collection relevant to women’s health outcomes.
· Professional Development
- Stay current on women’s health guidelines, clinical protocols, and best practices.
Wage based on years of experience and education
Requirements:
-Graduate of a NYS approved School of Nursing and is currently licensed and registered as a professional nurse in the state of N.Y.
