As a Clinical Care Partner, you’ll support our providers and registered nurses in ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care for our patients. You’ll play a direct role in the patient experience while maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Patient Experience & Human Connection
Round on patients and keep them informed of delays or visit updates.
Model compassionate care through Novant Health’s “Always Events.”
Explain procedures in plain language and verify understanding through teach-back techniques.
Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment that honours all backgrounds and identities.
Clinical Support & Patient Care
Measure and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure).
Interview patients regarding medical needs and history.
Assist with exams and procedures within your scope (medication administration not included).
Notify RN or provider of patient changes, abnormal values, or incidents.
Environmental & Equipment Readiness
Administrative & Clerical Duties
Assist with check-in/check-out, scheduling, and insurance verification.
Accurately code lab requests and document patient interactions.
Support registration, copay collection, and patient demographic updates.
Lab & Specimen Collection
Teamwork & Communication
Actively engage in team huddles, performance improvement discussions, and regular feedback loops.
Share professional, respectful communication to support clinic operations and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Type (e.g., NA I, NA II, EMT, PA Student)
Status
Nursing Assistant I (NA I) – in good standing with the state registry
Required
Nursing Assistant II (NA II) – current certification in good standing with the appropriate state board
Required
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – current credential in the appropriate state
Required
One year of clinical/medical office experience
Required
Enrolled Physician Assistant or Medical School student – in an accredited programme, or currently in a gap year
