Currently South Jersey Fertility Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Fertility Lab Technologist with expertise in andrology and/or endocrinology to join our dedicated reproductive health team for a position in the Egg Harbor Township, NJ office. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic andrology and hormone testing and contribute to assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as IUI, IVF, and sperm preparation procedures. This role is essential in supporting patient diagnosis and treatment in a compassionate, fast-paced fertility center environment.
Essential Functions:
- Perform semen analysis, sperm preparation for IUI/IVF, sperm cryopreservation, and post-thaw analysis.
- Conduct hormone assays and endocrine testing related to fertility evaluation (e.g., FSH, LH, estradiol, testosterone, AMH, prolactin).
- Prepare laboratory documentation, maintain accurate records, and ensure data integrity.
- Adhere to quality control procedures and ensure compliance with JACHO, CLIA, and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory; calibrate instruments as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, embryologists, nurses, and administrative staff for patient-centered care.
- Maintain confidentiality and empathy while dealing with sensitive patient information and procedures.
- Participate in proficiency testing, continuing education, and lab improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field required.
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in andrology and/or endocrinology lab settings, preferably within a fertility clinic or reproductive endocrinology setting.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS), good documentation practices, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in ART support labs (IUI, IVF, cryobanking).
- Hands-on experience with immunoassays or automated hormone analyzers.
