- Provide 24-hour call coverage, from 7 AM to 7 AM, primarily focusing on inpatient care.
- Handle patient encounters with an average of 3 patients seen during shifts.
- Document patient contact hours, including specific reasons for call backs, ensuring compliance for auditing purposes.
- Participate in telephone consultations and medical record reviews as necessary.
- Maintain clear communication regarding call support and documentation requirements.
- Ensure adherence to documentation standards and reporting on timesheets.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
- Hold an active North Carolina medical license.
- Clean history to ensure approval for emergency privileges.
- Ability to provide documentation of patient contact hours as specified.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
