Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Physician in Bad Axe, MI
Join our dedicated team at a facility known for its commitment to exceptional patient care in Bad Axe, Michigan. McLaren Thumb Region is seeking an OB/GYN physician to take over an established patient base due to a retiring provider. Enjoy a collaborative work environment and the chance to deliver care at the only birthing center in the region, which supports approximately 370 births annually.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, handling 30-40 patients per day in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with 1 MD, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and a robust support staff including full-time and part-time Medical Assistants.
- Perform approximately 460 gynecological procedures annually.
- Maintain a healthy work-life balance with designated surgery days.
- Utilize on-site facilities, including ultrasound and phlebotomy services.
- Adhere to a paper-charting system in the clinic, while the hospital utilizes EMR.
- Participate in hospital call, scheduled only on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), totaling 7 days a month.
- Open to J1 visa candidates (not accepting H1B or Locums).
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in OB/GYN (REQUIRED).
- Current or in-process Michigan medical license (REQUIRED).
- DEA registration (or willingness to obtain) (REQUIRED).
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) (REQUIRED).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in OB/GYN.
