This is an exciting time of development and expansion of the ADHD provision within Lewisham CAMHS. We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Nurse Prescriber (or qualified prescribing equivalent) to work clinically and lead the small team.
Clinically, the post holder will work as an ADHD nurse prescriber and lead a highly specialist service for children and young people with ADHD and co-occurring neurodiverse /mental health difficulties, contributing to specialist assessment & management and leading on co-ordinating the ADHD medication review clinics.
The Role Includes
- To provide leadership and management support to the ADHD medication review team to ensure access and flow are prioritised while maintaining own caseload.
- To manage a caseload, providing the analysis of complex information to determine the planning and management of assessment and treatment to C&YP with ADHD and co-occurring neurodiverse/mental health difficulties.
- To undertake assessments, including ADHD assessments
- To provide psychoeducation information sessions/groups.
- To provide expertise in this highly specialist clinical area and to offer advice and consultation on clients care to other members of the service. To offer training in assessment and interventions for CYP with ADHD to CAMHS and other professional networks.
- To liaise with medical colleagues, partner agencies and adult mental health professionals across a range of settings.
- To work autonomously within professional practice guidelines and Trust guidelines.
- To contribute to policy and service development, undertake research, service evaluation and audit for own team/service and to contribute to the training of the clinical team and others.
- To work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

Lewisham CAMHS Is a large community CAMHS service based over three locations in Lewisham & Catford. The ADHD Team is based in the modern and comfortable Kaleidoscope building in Rushy Green, close to a range of transport links and parking. The local community is diverse and there are a wide range of shopping and cultural interests within the vicinity.
