Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientedLaboratory Associate to support both Andrology and Embryology services at our Santa Barbara location. This full-time position involves performing clinical laboratory procedures with precision and adherence to regulatory standards. The role includes hands-on lab work, administrative responsibilities, and participation in a rotating schedule for weekend, holiday, and alarm response coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Andrology Laboratory:

Perform semen analysis, processing for intrauterine insemination (IUI), and cryopreservation.

Thaw and prepare frozen sperm samples.

Enter and manage data in the electronic medical record and laboratory systems.

Maintain accurate logs and ensure proper sample labeling and tracking.

Monitor and manage cryostorage inventory.

Document and resolve test deviations with oversight from the Lab Supervisor.

Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance processes.
Embryology Laboratory:

Assist with patient cycle documentation and embryology administrative tasks.

Perform daily quality control and lab maintenance.

Prepare media and dishes used in embryology procedures.

Open and close lab as part of a team schedule.

Support sperm preparation and lab prep for IVF/ICSI as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field.

Experience with electronic medical records, laboratory databases, and web-based quality systems is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and high standards for specimen handling.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a clinical lab environment.

Willingness to work rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage.
