Maternal-Fetal Private Practice with offices in Harrison, NY and Poughkeepsie, NY seeks RDMS experienced sonographer for part time position for our Poughkeepsie location. Competitive salary based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares ultrasound scanning rooms
Performs sonograms based on AIUM guidelines
Performs transvaginal sonograms
Performs biophysical profiles for fetal assessment
Performs umbilical artery Doppler studies
Assist in the following procedures: Chorionic Villus Sampling, Amniocentesis.
Applies knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning and imaging techniques to optimize the quality of ultrasound images
Maintains equipment to assure conformance with specific operational standards
Provides patient education related to ultrasound studies
Generates accurate computerized ultrasound reports
Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, family members and other employees
Any other assignments or projects assigned by perinatal physicians, practice manager or ultrasound technician supervisor.
