About the role
This position is responsible for supporting the coordination, partnerships, planning, development and management of Enhanced Maternal Child Health program within the City of Glen Eira.
The position provides leadership to the EMCH Team to ensure the Enhanced MCH Program fulfils the Victorian Government’s MCH Program Guidelines and Program Standards, Glen Eira Protocols and Procedure requirements and all legal obligations.
Other responsibilities include:
- The Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Team Leader will lead, support and contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the EMCH, Sleep and Settling, Outreach and Smalltalk facilitated playgroup teams.
- Provide direct leadership to the EMCH Team through clinical supervision and guidance which maximises the health and wellbeing of vulnerable clients.
- Ensure these programs maintain a high quality of service delivery and meet the required standards and guidelines as required by Glen Eira City Council and Funding agencies.
- Establish strong and effective partnerships with internal and external teams, service providers to support effective communication, collaboration, and implementation across the MCH Service.
About you
As an experienced Maternal and Child Health professional with strong leadership skills, you are committed to supporting vulnerable families through the Enhanced MCH Program. You have a solid understanding of Victorian Government guidelines and are skilled in navigating complex service environments. With excellent communication and partnership-building abilities, you will collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
The following is also required:
- Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as both a registered nurse and midwife with additional Qualifications in Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
- Demonstrated experience working in both Universal and Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Services.
- Previous Leadership experience essential.
