Mammography Technologist Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures to assist in the early detection of breast cancer and other abnormalities. You will work closely with patients, providing them with a comfortable experience while ensuring high-quality imaging results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, particularly in mammography, and possess excellent communication skills.. Candidate must be ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification.

Responsibilities

Documents patient assessment and history.
Provides patient with compassionate care and breast Operates computer and mammography equipment for image production and documentation.

Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
Performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal images.
Enters and properly completes all risk and history information into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Set's exam status accordingly, for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner.
Exhibits flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately.
Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking.
Actively engages other health care providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
Follows department procedures/processes/policies.
Practices safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations.
Follows universal precautions, infection control guidelines and sterile technique.
Complies with all governing regulations.
Maintains exam room and work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

We are an E-Verify employer
ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification. ARRT (R)(M)
Must have at least one year experience as a Mammography Technologist performing screening & diagnostic exams.
Basic Knowledge of MQSA and ACR guidelines.
Basic Knowledge of mammography Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
General knowledge of policies and procedures for the delivery of healthcare services.
Basic PC (keyboarding & navigation) skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
